Black02z28 and his group are in Coleman hunting doves for the second year with this camp. They did well this morning and this afternoon is full of hopefuls also!! I will try to get some pix of todays hunt.

how is hunting in that county? which part (north, south, east, west) is better?

We are hunting within a mile east of town. Mostly whitewing from the town come out to the fields and feed and then return. Lots of birds but they are flying higher and wider now.

Here are a few pix of the hunters and one of the fields. This was taken at 10:00a.m. after the morning hunt. Six guys got 45 birds on this hunt.





These guys hunted in the rain yesterday and did well on bird numbers.

I hunted in Coleman opening weekend at all 6 in camp limited out for 4 days straight. It's awesome out there.

Very good. This being the second week-end the birds were flying a little wider and higher.

What outfit are yall hunting with out there?

It's called Kowiki Lodges. Kowiki, meaning quail, in some indian language. Their web site is www.kowikilodges.com. The outfitter is a personal friend as the owner is also. I try to help them with their bookings because the lodges are close to my house and I rent them for several functions every year. They are good, honest people that really take care of the customer.

Benny, we had a great time and thanks for having us out again! The guys at Kowiki are top notch and just a great group of folks.

I know Terry and Ricky and Shawn really enjoyed you guys as I did also. You're a great bunch and love to visit with y'all as that is what I'm best at!!! We will look forward to a better "hunting relationship" in the future. We all need more guys like y'all. Thanks a ton, Benny
