what would it be? i think i would go after a panda bear or a capybara. maybe also a penguin shoot to get the season started off right. but anyone who would want to kill a porcupine is a piece of crap!
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

A black panther so everyone will believe they do exist!
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

A Tyranosaurus Rex would be just about perfect!
But if I couldn't have that, I guess some of those caracara birds would work.

believe it or not curtis, the hunters we had from pennsylvania actually wanted to shoot them, they think they are the neatest thing

Feral cattle. I ain't talking about the ones that have been running in the Salt Cedars on the Brazos for 3 or 4 years. I am talking about the ones like the King Ranch has offered hunts on before, wild born in the marshes along the coast, little or no contact with humans. I have heard those things could be as dangerous as Cape Buffalo.
Would not want to shoot a Mustang, although I do know of a guy that wore out the barrel on an M1 Garand shooting the nasty things.

chc,
in australia feral cattle are commonly hunted, although i forgot what the local names were. i hear they are extreemly ill tempered and aggresive. i've been in two situations where a charge from a brahma bull was very likely had i not thought quickly, and these are "domestic" cattle. don't think either of the guns i was carrying that day woulda stopped the bull either. in arizona there was a petition to have a feral burro season

I think I'd hunt Terrorists...
But seriously, I'd go after a Hippo. I hear they have killed more hunters than any other wild game.
