took Flash out on her very first hunt and she did real good. Was not sure at first but started to figure it all out by the end. Acouple more and I think she will get it down pretty good. Going to hunt her with Remi in a couple of weeks so that should help her learn the ropes also.

Her owner has worked more on obediance than anything else and it really shows. He does work on retrieveing withher but not like I do or someone else who hunts alot would. But she is going on a teal hunt next week and I am taking my machine to show her how it is done just incase she needs a little encouragement

I think Remi will make a great mentor dog - best of success with the teal.

Hey RGC, now that the season has started, the calls are coming in on last year's litters. Slick up in Wisconsin is doing great - owner was able to cast her to some birds she didn't see fall. Gauge up in Canada apparently scented out a 75 and 180 yd blind on some greenhead cripples that sailed - for both owner and his hunting buddy. Buddy was impressed with the 13 month old pup and owner was ecstactic... and proud. Love it when a good pup comes together!

Well work got in the way of getting flash out this week. And next week is a show so looks like she is going to have to learn during big duck season. But she did good on the first hunt which is always good.

I think she'll do fine. She's got the idea and she's got the drive. Good job with her! I'm sure it'll come together - keep me posted!
