Judging from some of the picture of deer posted, there are alot of people on here that have way better leases than I've ever been on.

My dad and I aren't poor by no means but we can't afford to pay $3,4,5 thousand for a deer lease.

This poll is for price paid per gun

*Oh and for the grammer cops I know I put do instead of due on the poll*

Right now I pay $1000 per gun, But I've hunted from free up to $2250, Price really hasn't been a factor in deer quality.

10 folks, 780 acres, $340 a gun. Not everyone on our lease is a serious hunter and basically just use the place to camp out and get away.

I agree. It's fun to just get away and spend time relaxing at the lease. A mini vacation every time I get to the lease

$1000 Polk County. East Texas. 3200acres and ONLY 15 BUCK PERMITS. 20 members though, and 30 DOE permits this year. It STINKS to HIGH HEAVEN. Best deer to date here is a 135" 10pt 18 3/4" inside. 6.5yrs old.

I wonder what the "TROPHY" hunters on here pay. Based on looking at the results I would say that the trophy hunters have yet to weigh in on this....

Just curious if this is by my old place out near Segno in Polk County? IP had 10,000 acres and my place was surrounded. Could hunt off my porch, no kiddin. Leases butted up to my property and the hunting was real good. Sad... IP since sub-divided and is sellin off parcels.

I hunt my own place and usually let at least one friend hunt it each year. I like being part of helping a father to introduce a young son to hunting without having to pay for a lease.

$1500 Coleman County on 1200 acres and there are 3 of us plus the ranch owner and his 2 sons. His sons hunt thanksgiving weekend and christmas. Other than that we have the place to ourself. It's worth every penny to me for a place to get away and just chill out 7 or 8 times a year.

Unc

I just moved to Texas and I can't find any leases with openings. I live in Abilene and everything around here seems to be around 2k though (out of my price range).

Dustin - I own my place but it is not "free due to myself owning it".

Hunt on all family land, but it's a long way from being free.

Boy you got that right. My dad owns 2 places and I hunt both and spend a lot more on those 2 places than I ever did when I paid $800 a year for a deer lease.

I guess I should've left the free part out. The government charges you a arm and a leg to own land

I hunt a couple hunderd acres in hill country owned by a friend. (who does not care much about hunting) I pay for any upgrades to the land, whether it is hunting related or not. Meet with the neighbors, work out cattle lease logistics ect. Built a couple primative cabins for myself and the land owner. It costs me quite a bit, but worth every penny, until i can manage to buy my own chunk of dirt

I'm thankful for the things i have and all the things i don't

I have 2 leases, one in Red River Co with 20 guys on 500 ac I pay $350 a year for. Most guys on that lease have been on it for 20 years and call it "beer camp" not deer camp. They just like to come out a few times a year to hang out and drink beer away from the wife.

I have a lease just north of Ranger that is 480 ac that I pay 5k for all in. I could have up to 3 guns on it but I keep it at 2 cuz I dont like people smile
