Outstanding and cheaper than most in Port A.

I moved to Corpus a few monthes ago. I have yet to find excellent Seafood. As far as Snoopy goes, I was referred there as well. Absolutly horrible. Service sucked, and food was as bad or worse. This could have just been an off night, but I have not been back since. I have not spent enough time in Port A to give you any recomendations.

I used to eat at The Black Diamond Oyster Bar (CC, TX), was very good back in the day. Do not know about now....or if it is even still open!! I ate at Snoopy's once...it was good but, IT WAS FREE!! Free food always tastes better to me! Also, I ain't that picky!!

yardarm on ocean dr? great food. kinda pricey, but well worth it. had escargot, crab stuffed shrooms, whole flounder stuffed with crab, and pecan crusted snapper when I went there a few weeks ago. would say to expect to pay $25-30 a person, without drinks

All that have been mentioned are still around.

Port A-
Pelican's Landing (best), Castaways, Virginia's, or trout street

CC-
Two Georges
Black diamond oyster bar
Waterstreet - IMO, not that great (best starter- dynamite sticks!) two restaurants- front is more laid back and have sushi

Great to pull up in a boat:
Snoopy's is good, if you want fried.
Frenchy's is alright, if you don't.

I went to college in CC and lived there a year or so after. There is a place way back in "The Bluff" at the end of Laguna Shores Rd. called "The Reef". Awesome food and cool place to eat, it shares the parking lot with a little marina and dock. They'll cook YOUR catch if you like....and stop by "The Porch" bar if you think you can handle it, they say its the oldest bar in Texas

Eat at Virginia's on the Bay in Port A and have the bacon wrapped Yellow Fin Tuna with ginger sauce. It is a 15 on a 1-10 scale!!!!!

My current favorite for seafood in Corpus is the Baja Coast Bar and Grill (Corner of Staples and Williams). The Black Diamond (forget the Oyster Bar part for the time being...nobody has oysters) is still there and serving delicious food.
BUT, despite being labeled a "fry house" by some, the absolute best around consistantly is Kings Inn at Loyola Beach.

Kings Inn in Rivera, Texas is the best in the US. About a 1hr drive from Corpus but it's the best. Recommend Shrimp, Drum, Onion Rings, avacado salad. Your bill will be $100 but it's the very best you will ever eat..

I grew up the area, not sure if Taluga Flats is still in Port A or not...

Charlotee Plumbers in Rockport has always been very good

like I said, I grew up down there and my dad owned a boat business, we did a LOT of fishing (and eating!)

Port Aransas-Moby Dicks

Corpus-Blackbeards

My daughter is a fried shrimp fanatic and swears these are the 2 best she has ever ate. I am in the foodservice business and eat at a bunch of seafood places and would say you cant go wrong at either one. I am taking a well known Chef from the metromess down there the 17th and taking to him to Moby Dicks for dinner. I wouldn't go if I didnt believe it was the best in the area.
