Has anybody ever had a feeder stolen? Got report today that one of our feeders has vanished. The feeder is hidden and you have to search to find it our place if You do no know the area. we have 4 hang'em high feeders and one feeder with a ladder. They stole the ladder one and left the other nice feeders alone. Doesn't make much sense.

Sorry man, we had that problem too. I set up cameras all over and caught the kids in the act. Needless to say, no one messes with any of my property anymore.

I went to check feeders and fill them up last week and my feeder was there but the battery and timer had been stolen. I was glad I looked before I filled the feeder. bang

Had one stolen a couple of years ago...about a month later was headed back from San Antonio and saw it for sale on the side of the road in coleman...recognized where our brand had been stuck on the side with electrical tape and had been peeled off. I was fit to be tied but had the presence of mind to call the sherrif's office before I went storming up there. Deputy showed up and we approached the guy. He said that he'd bought it from some guy in a silver van and figured it was stolen. I thought, "yeah right". He said, "I wrote his license plate number on the barrell..." Sure enough, he did. Plate checked back to a siver van out of Temple. Some crack head. Got my feeder back...

Lots of mysterious things happen out there. We have had the batteries taken and the feeder mechanism stolen, but nevere an entire feeder.

Man Cody talk about good luck...
This is CRAZY

I once had my ground blind pushed over...
I know this beacuse it weighed a ton and a tornado could not move this thing. It was a 2 man blind and sat up on a hill. It was visable from the Highway. My buds told me to tie it down because it was on a hill / wind etc...

I did for for peace of mind. I boxed it in with t-posts.

Weekend before the opener its on the ground on its side. I checked weather reports and there was no high west texas winds...or storms...

About mid season I found windows busted. I moved the blind out of sight and had no problems since.

I personally have had 3 game cameras, several feeder timers, feeder batteries, and had my stand broken into and stole all my calls and binos I kept in there. We had a tripod and box blind taken one year out there as well. I have been on there 5 years and something always seems to happen every year. I have moved to new locations away from the main areas and they still find me. They even went through the trouble one time to connect the negative and positive together so it wouldn't even go off. I wish people would learn alittle respect these days....

I had a friend that hunted east Texas and they kept stealing his corn our of the feeder! He posted a sign " You have F..Up my deer hunting so now I'm hunting YOU". The corn stealing stopped. He did get off the lease the next year.

We have two well sights on our lease and the tank truck drivers don't always lock or close the gate when coming in, we've had several feeders stolen and lately were having a problem with people coming in and dumping. Talking about setting up a trail cam up in a tree on the gate coming in, maybe get a plate number for the dumpers and pictures of the tanker drivers to bring to the well company to compalin about the issues they are creating.

my brother made cut outs of the texas trophy hunter logo and cut our intials out in the middle so that way if someone does steal it we can put the pics up everwhere and hopefully some nice guy will see them or the guys who stole them will know whose they stole

Wanted to make a comment on the issue of being denied a permit to the Corps land at Whitney. I did my homework and read the rules and regulations for obtaining a permit to hunt and had no problem at all with having to submit a survey after each season or by the deadline. These rules were clearly stated on the website as well as in the literature given to us at the time of obtaining the permit. For the Corps to be able to adequately manage this resource they need as much information as possible from as many hunters as possible. In my opinion the people/persons not submitting this information are not doing their part in this process and therefore are ignorant as to the importance of game management. This opportunity exists because of those that came before us and if we cannot appreciate and respect that then this resource WILL be depleted.
