What is the most accurate 270 brand and load? I am already sold on the 130 grain. But what brand is the most accurate?

I shoot the 130gr. winchester BST's and get 1/2" groups at 100-150 yards. It's good enough for me.

it'll depend on what your rifle likes.

I shoot 130gr win silvertips That round works very well in my 270. If I were searching around, I'd be sure to try some Hornady.

When at the fireing range check your target for hole size. If it is small and round your bullet is not wabbling. If the hole is odd sized or larger than the bullet then it is probably starting to tumble and will wander off. Huh??? What on earth would make a bullet start to tumble?? This wold only happen if it were not fully stabilized (adequate spin). and believe me, the manufactures of the 270 figured out a LONG time ago how much spin is require for 270 bullets.

In my Kimber 8400, it likes the Fusion 130 grain. It is a great mid price cartridge.
Mathews Z7 Bow for Whitetail and Hogs Remington R-15 .223 REM for predators I also like to "hunt" sporting clays with my Benelli SuperSport!

My Remington likes Remington 130 grain factory loads and I can say that the deer don't like the results.

I'd appreciate it if you would provide a reference or three regarding this "tumbling" phenomenon. (Manual name and page numger(s)).
And for what it's worth, I hope you were loading 56 GRAINS of IMR4350. 56 GRAMS would equal 864.21 GRAINS.

I have to say it, I am a Hornady fan. Each rifle will shoot different moa's in the same weight class with different brands. Find the one your rifle shoots the best, and then practice A LOT.

I have a T3 and it likes Sciroccos handloads but you can get them factory loaded thru Remington.

As previously stated, each rifle will like a different load. That said, I have two .270's in my arsenal. Different makes and models. One bolt, one auto. Each likes the 130 grain the best, regardless of manufacturer. I just tried out the new Hornady Superformance rounds. They advertise them being as close to custom hand loads as factory ammo gets. This ammo worked better than any I have tried over the years....and I have a few years on me. It was very consistent and extremely accurate. It made it look like I knew how to shoot.

X2....I've shot Hornady almost exclusively for the past 15 years. Currently shooting the 130 gr SST, but had been shooting the 140 gr LIGHT MAGNUM. My Smith & Wesson .270 likes just about anything Hornady! My second choice is the 130 gr Winchester Silver Tips. Best thing about them, if you drop one they are easy to see and find!

I shoot 130 gr. Federal Premium Nosler Partition. For deer hunting the Nosler Partitions are my favorite bullets.
My wife's only thing is it can't stare at her when she is eating or sleeping!

I have been hunting with a 270 for nearly 25 years and have killed over a hundred head of game, and over the years, I have used every brand and bullet type on the market. In my extensive experience, I have found Winchester Supreme 140 gr Accubonds to be super accurate in every gun I have tried them in and great performer on deer size game as well as pigs.
I have just recently bought a rifle in 270 Weatherby, and I am going to load 140 gr Accubonds in it too.
As a side note, the only bullet that I absolutely WOULD NOT use on deer size game is a 130 gr Ballistic Tip. Though they have shot super accurate just like the Accubonds out of every gun I have tried them in, the Ballistic Tip bullet construction is for "rapid expansion" where the Accubond is "controlled expansion". I know several people including my brother and Dad who have lost deer using Winchester Supreme 130 gr ballistic silver tip ammo due to explosive expansion and not passing through the deer (i.e. little to no blood trail).

I shoot the Federal 130 grain SP's in the blue box, they are accurate in mine. You may have to try a couple loads before you find one your rifle likes. The 1st ones I tried out of mine were Remington Core Locts, and they grouped about 5'', so I had to try something else.
