I am just wondering who to listen to when it comes to goose calling. I am ok but I want to get better and would like to hear some advice  Kelly

I'm gonna go ahead and say that two of my guides can hold their own. They have won quite a few contests including every Texas contest the past 4 years.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that two of my guides can hold their own. They have won quite a few contests including every Texas contest the past 4 years.
I have competed against erik guggenhiem and he is friggin awesome, he makes that microgoose sing. BTW, does eric post on here and by what name? I know brian too, I heard him compete for the first time this year and I think that I would pass out if I could blow on a goose call that fast! Kelly

And you are correct he is flat out bad a** on a call duck or goose.

Both of them are great callers and flat good people. I'm glad they both work with me! To tag on to J.Stanfield's comment, there's some good callers out here in Haskell/Knox City

Of course I am biased. In the last 10 years the quality of the calling in Texas for Canada geese has really improved. I only am around the haskell/knox area but I am sure the Panhandle boys also have some great callers.
We have 4-6 full time goose guides and they all can blow a damn good call, about the only person at the lodge who cannot blow one is me.

Derek and Erik are really good Canada Goose callers. Brian Hall is a good Canada goose caller, and an exceptional snow goose caller. Andy is pretty good as well. Put it this way, every show I work, and Derek is there, I have him help me with my goose calling. (still tryin to make the damn thing sound like an siren)  Derek, helped me re-tune my canada call, and it sounds awesome now... As for Goose calling I am at most Okay...but tryin' myself to get better!  J.J.

There is a guy who lives in Reno that is pretty good also. Used to be part of the Foils brat pack and he post on here everyonce in a while. Just thought of him.
