"He believes it was a bobcat. Others in the neighborhood called it a mountain lion."

he is right bobcat. it cracks me up, some of the comments on the news' facebook page, idiots cant comprehend that there CAN be a bobcat in the area.

some funny comments:
"can you have a mountain lion when you don't have mountains?"
"Maybe it's a big OCICAT?"
"looks like a young MT lion to me.."
"not intimidated by the smell of humans probably someones pet got loose"
"Mt lion, to big for a bobcat..."

my favorite idiot post:
"wow..must have escaped from the zoo." roflmao

Funny you posted that, I watched one yesterday in a plano park at around one o'clock pm for a few minutes yesterday. He was probably about 40 yards away and was watching me too, totally unafraid. He was just walking down the sidewalk just chillin.

I have seen several bob cats and yots in this area. All you have to do is drive after dark.

I think its a Black Panther in drag..

There are yotes and a cat on the creek by me. All the neighbors with foofoo dogs got together and complained to the city. I try telling them "they were here first", they just don't get it.

K just saw another one in an area about a mile away from the one yesterday. There must be a bunch of eating all the bunnies and backyard pets in this part of town.

Yeah, pretty common report around the Metromess these days. Daytime and night time sightings too.

Hmm....I wonder who is missing their pets lately. Looks like that cat knows where to go to get a easy meal.

As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind...Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks--Thomas Jefferson

A couple of months ago the wife was standing in the living room and saw a bobcat right outside the window (or was it a mountain lion?) nidea. She got a couple of pictures of it on her phone then watched it walk around the backyard and wander off into the brush. It probably weighed about 15-20 lbs. I've gotten pictures of a couple of foxes on a trail camera I had set up out there last year. Always hearing coyotes in the area.
