My boss had a herd of 10 bucks in velvet a few weeks ago mostly 8s with a couple 10s and a couple 12 pointers. I stopped in the road and they just looked at me. Literally less than 10 yds away. It was sickening!

it's illegal to hunt them even with a bow
I mountain bike and see nice bucks all the time saw a few nices ones on 360 last night coming home from Lake Austin..

i work at NASA JSC in Houston. we have tons of nice bucks all over the property and ofcourse they are protected. probably why they are so nice. no pressure at all.
i dont know if we each have our own destiny, or if were all just floatin around accidental-like on a breeze.

I once took a defensive driving course in Austin and there was a lady there that lived up in Westlake Hills. She was hoping to get tips on how to avoid hitting deer. At last count she had hit 19! The instructor told her to slooow down. BTW... I'm going to need your address. lol
