I bought some easton axis n-fused 340 29in carbon arrows online and did not relize they were just shafts(no pun)! I could send them back but i might just put the fletchings on myself! What is the advantage of doing this rather than just buying them ready to shoot? I never have done this before so any advice would be great! any pointers at all thanks

I never buy pre-fletched arrows. If you're going to be shooting a lot it's better right of the bat to start doing them yourself.
There is no reason for pre-fletched arrows to fly any better if you fletch them right.

Its much easier to do it your self, I shoot acc 3-49 and fletch mine with an Arizona EZ Fletch it onlt takes a few minutes wether you do 1 or 3 Vanes.

I like to do my own because it is easy and I enjoy doing it. You will save yourself a lot of money in the long run by learning to do it yourself.
The only problem I had at first was getting a cheap crappy fletching jig. Spend a little more money if you can and get a quality one.
Good luck!

I took the plunge recently and learned how to fletch my own arrows. I am so glad I did! Its a little intimidating but so worth it once you get it figured out. Get yourself a jig and some broken shafts to practice on and go to work.

its not hard, learn how its done, then you can fix your arrows after you knock one off
