I noticed the Academy in Burleson has a bow shop in the back of the store now. Since I just purchased a new bow and this might come in handy as I will need to set it up. Anyone been there or know anything about it?

SMITHFIELD ARCHERY Fort Worth!! The only way to go guys. I been in there and met the guys who will be working it. If you buy a academy bow I guess it would be fine to let them set it up. They wont touch my Z7. Just my opinion.

I wouldnt trust them ever again. I had the do mine since I got it there and they made things way worse. A day at a real bow shop and learning along the way, it is now shooting as good as I can.

So who does everyone recommend in my area? I've heard of Smithfields in previous post.

I can say that the one in Amarillo will never get the chance to touch mine again. I had them replace the loop string and the idiot dry fired my bow. Grant it, it was accidental but would not have happened by a competent technician. Needless to say I took it elsewhere and had it done right and had to replace the string silencers also since they tore when he fired it. Luckily it did no damage to the limbs. Just make sure the guy behind the counter knows what he is doing and not experimenting with your equipment.

Stan at Smithfield is the only way to go. They have been in business for several years. Great customer service, they don't treat you with anything but respect. Fair prices. I have never had a problem with them.

i had bought a new pse and and took it to Smithfields told him to crank down the pull and he crached the limb. Its was ok i had warrenty on it. What pissed me off is he wouldnt admit to doing it, and the lady told me know way her employee would do that. i got it fixed but i will never use or recomend them to any one. i dont like to say that.
