Somehow, I got the 1-3 off this year. So it will be me and my son on opening day and we'll head back out for a long weekend at the lease
Good luck to all
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

Nah, it's going to be way too hot to really enjoy it. I'll probably be finding my way down to the coast to fish or something.

I will be off for sure, seems that day one is the best day of the season and tapers off from there. Not saying that wont slow me down a few days when I can, but not missing opening day.

Got a lease 20 minutes from the shop. The shop will open late and close early. Sign on the door will say Dove Season Gone Hunting. My son said he will be to sick to go to school that day. cough cough
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

My son said he will be to sick to go to school that day. cough cough Some of the best hunts that I had with my dad was when I was "sick". I always thought that it was pretty darn cool of him to let me slide on a day or two of class to go hunting with him.

Morning at least. Our Planning Director talked about moving our monthly forecast meeting from Friday to Thurs.. He said too many people will be off Friday. I said I am off Weds. and need Thurs. to prepare. I may lose out to numbers. If so at I least I get the morning this year.

Not sure about being able make opening morning but I will for sure be in the field looking for birds by 5pm. I think I might be able to take that Friday and Monday off as well so I'll be able to get some evening hunts in if nothing else.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

I may go out for the opener. My boss is to talk me into taking him to my lease so I think I will tell him only if I get paid. But I will not burn a vacation day on it like someone else said that is for the big birds

If I was still in Dallas I know exactly where I'd go, how much I'd pay ($150) and I'd take the day off and shoot a limit of birds. But since I'm in a new area and none of my local buddies know of any kind of a deal, I'm sitting this one out I think. (Probably sitting out dove entirely and just focus on teal)

Planning our 16th trip to "Mecca" this year. Some family, college buddies, & now our kids, wouldn't miss it for anything. Taking all my boys out of school the 3rd and heading west for 4 days!
