I've always aimed right behind the ear. They've dropped in their tracks every time

Get the pig to hold his ear open and then shoot it right down the canal.

Is there a special way that you get them to hold their ear open?

That is best way to get 'em.
Much better than vitals shot. Enybody that hunted hogs will tell you that....

To get 'em to open their ears, be really quiet and whisper to him to open up......works....wel, some of the time.

good to know...
i've never hunted pigs before, but am heading out to a hunt tomorrow morning by san antonio... bringing my custom AR15 and my 44 mag scoped blackhawk, for close up shots.
i was skeptical of the ar15, but i'm glad someone else is using it! head shots it is then...

Yea I figured why the hell not. I have a Bushy AR15A2 with a 4X40 scope, Laser, Taclight, Bipod. I figured if it doesn't work i'll break out the 7MAG.

Update:

Didn't see one animal the whole time we were out there. The piggys didn't like our corn they didn't touch it at all. We did see about 11 deer. Thye were very pretty animals. But just to let you guys know I didn't get anything.
