Hi guys, I'm from Canada and would appreciate if somebody could steer in the right direction so much!

I'm 52 and have hunted/guided up here in Manitoba all my life. I don't have a ton of cash but I've wanted to do a Texas hog hunt for years and last February my wife treated me for our anniversary. Despite a bunch of research, I unfortunately picked the wrong guy and ended up not even seeing a hog (among other bad experiences). I did shoot a Javi but as you all probably know, that's no big deal. I loved Texas but I came home from my trip of a lifetime so damn P'd off!

Well my wife, being the SWEETHEART that she is, wants me to try it again!!!

Sooo, I'm looking for an affordable 3 day hunt at a ranch with a good chance at getting a pig and a decent ram of some type. I'd need accommodations with meals. I'd like to come down for the first weekend in February again and get away from our cold winter for a bit. Anywhere in Texas is fine.

Sorry for the long sob story but I don't want to make the same mistake again. (I also posted this in the outfitter forum since I'm not sure where it should go)

Thank you in advance.

I could help you with the hog hunt. I have a deer lease that I'm sure the land owner would okay a hog hunt. Everyone wants the hogs killed. We don't have any rams. We might work out a trade for a bear hunt up there.

Killzone.. check out the thread above. Will tell you exactly who to stay away from, and give you a number of reliable options to consider.

If you bow hunt check out Diamond C Ranch in Caddo. The prices are amazing and you will see hogs.

Try the above site. This rancher has a nice setup for your stay and hogs to shoot.
