It only stays on for 30 Minutes after your feeder goes off, don't know about that.

It only stays on for 30 Minutes after your feeder goes off, don't know about that. Seems like a poor design to me. Get some solar yard lights.

at night for the hogs, the feeder would be set to go on at the top of each hour. I was going to run it along with a solar/motion activated led spot.is that over kill?

Texasboars.com has the best feederlights out there. I have been very happy with mine.

kill lights from elusive wildlife technologies are the best we've found... Can easily shoot a bow under them at 30-40 yards.. We bought some wireless 12 volt remote dimmers.. Can dim them waaaaay down, then increase them as needed.. All from the comfort of your stand.. They have rare earth magnets made into the top, for sticking them to the bottom of the feeders..
