I havent shot a coyote with it but I shot a pig and rabbit with it and the rabbit was gutted and the hog just had a small entry hole and when it hit the skull it pretty much exploded. I love mine

Yeah, it's the exploding part I'm not real happy about. My .17hmr does the same thing, and I worry about penetration.

I've killed yotes with one. I like it. I've even seen some deer & hogs that were taken with a .204.

If you watch preditor qwest on the sportsman channel (I think) you will see him punishing those yotes with the 204 from Howa. I have a 204 but have not put it on a hog or yote but will soon.
If your not the lead dog, the view never changes.

I've shot quite a few hogs with my .204. The largest being 170lbs. Shot him quartering to me in the front part of his shoulder, went through him and scrambled his opposing lung. He ran a 100 yds before crashing. The other hogs i've shot with it I pop right behind the ear.

The 32gn. hornady's are going out at 4225fps...the 40's are around 3900 I believe..For hogs and deer I think it is a little light unless they are head shots..I had a guy shoot a coyote at 410yards with one last year. It ran 20 yards after the hit in the boiler room. Great Prairie Dog gun..Had 3 people get into the 500 yard club with it this year. Very little recoil. Later, B

Cyotes hogs and even a deer... DRT, deer and hogs both head shots.
It's the most accurate gun I own.

I love both of mine!!! I have the t/c prohunter and ar15 in .204. both are extremely accurate and I have have only two shots out of 30 not connect(operator error) I've shot multiple shots on coyotes and bobcats out to 278 yards and two were Head shots.I shot a golf ball at 187 yards on a bet.(probably couldn't do it again. Only one cat I've shot did I have a bullet explode and it was because it hit the shoulder. This hog I shot at 75 yards in the shoulder and sheild, He ony went 13 yards. The others dropped where they were hit.

I love mine, 700 VTR, shot a coyote at 265 yard, buddy shot a philark at 200 yards on a bet that I lost...he was sitting on the ground using shooting sticks, I never would have thought he could hit it but he did. Also took a large cat at 125 yards. All coyotes/bobcats stopped in their tracks...very very accurate.
I mainly use the 32gr, and 40 gr Hornadys. I bought some 45gr (Soft Point) Hornandy's for pigs but have not used these yet, and Winchester has a 36grain hollow point w/ lubalox coating, havent had a chance to try those yet either.
Also Cor-Bon has a 26gr out, I havent found alot of reviews on this one, but am curious about it. Its a little higher at $31 a box. Has anyone used these?

Something about a AR-15 and 32 grains of lead at 4225 fps, they lay right down and sometime they roll over.

I had one. The main complaint I had with mine was that the wind really pushed it around.
I had one coyote run off on me that I shot in the chest.
I could put 10 shots in a nickel at 100 yards though on a calm day.
I think the 22-250 is the way to go...jmo
