Howdy all !
Had a Mosin given to me as a gift a few weeks ago, have shot it to an ok size group.
Was wondering if there is a front sight tool that I can use to help tighten the group any.
I have an SKS sight tool but don't know if it will work and don't want to scar up the finish.

Thanks
BOS

Are you attempting to adjust for windage or elevation?

Well, adjusting the front sight's windage is only going to move the current group to one side or the other on the target and will not tighten the group any.

I just use a hammer and punch.

Note also in case you have a M44 with the folding bayonet. They were originally sighted in with the bayonet extended. It will effect accuracy if folded.

No tool that I'm aware of. Like John does I use a punch. Most of the time I use Kentucky windage though.

Ok thanks .
The one I was given didn't have a bayonet.
regular military ammo was a big group, selior - beloit tightened it some, but was wanting to adjust the sight some.

Mosins are great guns. I don't know anyone that only has one Mosin. One day you have one gun, the next you have eight. I would start looking for a larger gun safe now.
