what happens if you go and dont kill anything ? like say i wanna do the hog hunts and throw in the axis doe for 100, and i dont get the axis doe ????

and the hunt cost covers the lodge ?

I am a bit confused by this answer, and a few other things...

1) So if you DO NOT kill the exotic doe, you do not pay the extra $100?

2) Is the total $300, or is the daily total $300, and the actual total would be $300+$300 = $600 since there is a two day minimum and the charge is daily?

3) In addition to the last question... What if I want to hunt Hogs one day and the exotic the next, is that $300, $500, or $600?

4) On the website there is a $50 kill fee per hog, is this only in the "hog pen" or is this anywhere on the ranch? And is this added to the unlimited hogs, or does the $200 (or $400) cover them all?

5) Is the lodge included on the special?

6) How much would it cost for two hunters to go, one hunts the first day and takes a hog and a doe, and the other hunts the second day and takes a hog and a doe?

i called these guys last year when i had a random question from something i saw on their webpage. (in other words, important to me, but likely a waste of time for them.) Mr. Boazman was extremely polite and sounded like he really cared about his ranch. even though i wasnt calling about hunting, we ended up talking about hunting and he seemed pretty straight forward to me.

i have not been there, but might look to do so in the future and would appreciate knowing if the experience in person is as nice as the experience i had talking on the phone with them.

right i mean if i see a doe i'll take it and pay, if not then i shouldnt have to pay right ? i mean thats how all the places iv been are. I once did a bear hunt in Canada that cost 1400 bucks for a 10 day bow hunt that included lodgeing and meals, well i didnt get my bear not because there were no shot opertunities just because i didnt wanna shoot the ones i saw most were females with cubs ect... so i got half my money back when i left.

If you DO NOT kill a exotic doe, you still pay the $100. It's a add on special to any of the normal hunt packages. You would pay this $100 with what ever special you decide to go with.

The animals out there are definitely wild and are in no way "dumb pets". Well,.. the texas dall rams are fairly dumb... but will still run from you when you get within 30yard. My point is it's HUNTING and not KILLING, so you take your chances out in the field when it comes to putting something on the ground. The $100special is a gamble to pay,.. but then so is any other fee you pay... can never GUARANTEE folks will have a animal on the ground, but with the target rich environment out there... whew....chances are WAY in the favor of the hunter.

$300 includes unlimited hogs / 1 exotic doe / lodgings for the entire hunt durations that is 2 evening hunts and 2 morning hunts. (broken down it's $100 per day for unlimited hogs with 2 day min-- so that's $200 for a 2morn/2evening hunt. Then tack on the "exotic doe special" for $100 -- makes $300 for the entire hunt duration.

So.... lets say you came for the weekend. Arrive mid day on friday.... hunt that evening. Hunt sat morning and evening. Hunt sunday morning,.. pack up by afternoon and head back home. And of coarse if you wanted to hunt and wander around the ranch ALL DAY between morn and evening, your welcome to it !

well... regardless your preference on JUST ONE SPECIES OF animal you want to hunt that particular day..but have it on your mind to be after 2 types of game,.. it would be the PRICE FOR THOSE animals combined.
Now we are still talking about "the special exotic doe" thing here. So you'd pay the $300 for the entire duration of hunt. ( hunt your hog on friday... go after a exotic doe on sat..kinda thing )

If you wanted to do a HARD HORNED exotic.... (choose from Axis, Blackbuck, Aoudad, Fallow, and Sika.)That's $600 for the 2 morn/2 evening hunt duration.( as it's 300 per day-- 2 day minimum) And like before,... if you wanted to put a EXOTIC DOE in there.. then add $100.

This is solely for the HOG PEN, and it's only if you shoot one, not for going in there and hunting for them.
The 20 acre hog pen has 2 sides to it. A "easier" side with senderos cut through the thicket.. and a "rough" side that is full blow wild and gnarly brush. Folks think it's so easy in there.... but I'll tell you what.... it is A CHALLENGE to get on the hogs in there ! whewwwww ! talk abut fast action as hogs are zipping by, barreling out of the brush, coordinating between drives with the other hunters... it's allot of fun !



5) Is the lodge included on the special?
Yes,... any hunter that comes to the ranch and pays for any of the packages,.. the lodgings for the duration of the hunt are included. If you wanted to bring a NON HUNTING friend, wife, GF,... whoever.. it would be $25 per day for them to stay at the ranch.

sorry there,.. not how it works at the ranch. It would have to be each hunter on his own HUNT PACKAGE,.. not able to share a hunt package.

Thanks for clearing all that up. I think the main thing confusing about the wording is that usually a "kill fee" is once you have drawn blood, not the chance to hunt, at least how I have ever heard it.

Happy to assist. 5 years ago when I was a newbie to the world of bow hunting, the Quatro-b was the first ranch I went to. Doug had a first class operation back then, even before the new bunkhouse and hunters lodge was built. I've hunted over 7 other day leases since then and I always found my way back to Boazmans. I turned part time guide last fall,.. and am eager to get folks on animals again this season !

I am interested and talking to at least 3 other guys about it. How long is this special going on?

And maybe I missed it but how many acres?

Iv always herd positive things about the Quatro B ranch one of the best in central Texas no doubt, I have had some friends go with great success and the lodging is top notch. i whould like to go sometime soon.

The special should go the rest of 2010 until Doug deems the population back in proper numbers. Earlier this season the protein feeders were getting hammered with so many animals.
