what all have you tried?

what kind of gun is it?

what kind of choke wrench do you have?

does the barrel have rust?

sorry for all the questions.

Have you tried soaking it in WD40? I'd think it'd work a heck of a lot better than oil.

You can also go to a hardware store and ask for a product called "Liquid Wrench." It's designed for just what you're having problem with.

get some Kroil if you can find it and spray it down or soak with it.

If that doesn't loosen it up you can get an "ease out" extractor that is designed for removing broken pipe fittings that will remove it.

They look like this

or this

You can get them from a plumbing supply or hardware store.

They will damage the inside of the choke tube.

If you are good with machines you could easily make something similar. Its pretty simple in design, and easily replicated.

Get you an electric burner and some automatic transmission fluid. Pour about four inches in an old pot and heat it to about 200 degrees. put your shotgun barrel in the pot muzzle first and let it soak in the atf for about 10 or twelve hours. Take it out wipe it off and put your choke tube wrench on there and try it. If it doesnt work use a wrench or pliers to get more leverege on the choke tube wrench. When you install a choke tube grease it or put some never seize on there. A choke tube should never get stuck even on a half [censored] maintained gun.

Man, I was all excited about that link, until I scrolled down and saw the price.

Hayracker,

What do the ease out extractors sell for?

Could you get a cheap set from Harbor Freight?

PB Blaster is magic stuff. It's a penetrating oil like Kroil, for just such an occasion. I know they have it at Home Depot or Lowes as I saw it there the other day. Superior to WD40 for this application. I would be sure to use it before using heat or any other more aggressive solutions.

Best of luck.
