THAT GUN IS NOT FULL AUTO. PRICE, SCOPE AND BRAND TELLS THE STORY!

Duane, I thought so too...I've been told many times that was the only difference between the AR15 & the M16.

My fault, I was thinking of the M-16A2 which is what we carried. They aren't fully automatic, but the older M-16s are.
The A2 is just, fire or semi.

Ours our semi, 3 shot burst and full auto. I don't think the one being sold is full auto, nor did this guy claim it to be.

I can make it fully auto but as of naw it not fully auto. In Wyoming you can hunt with it as long as its a centerfire or 223 or biger. cbump i can chang it to fully or not. I have killed 2 deer with it just BECAUSE it was with me at the time of the kill but as for BIGgame I will say big NO!!!! i would not even try it. And i do live it Dallas for naw but i dont hunt in Txs just PIGs.

To anyone that reads the BS on that other forum, I don't think the rifle being sold here is fully auto, and to me the M16A2 doesn't qualify as fully auto just because it shoots three round bursts.

btw, to all you AR15.com guys coming over to read this, if you were following both thread on this rifle you would see where it was stated to be a full auto by the seller....that is why I made the comment about hunting with a full auto.
Not because I thought it was.

I am impressed, a full auto AR15 for only $2600.00.

Usually they run $12K+, not to mention all the ATF paperwork and getting the local sheriff to sign off on it.

The M16 and M16A1 have always been Full Auto, the M16A2 is 3 rd burst and the original poster (seller) is full of it.

Yes Bushmaster makes Full Auto and Burst guns and sells them to gov't agencies only since new machine gun sales to civilians are illegal from 1986 on.

Bushmaster guns (AR15) run around $1K new and with the accessories as shown that rifle is not worth $2600.00

Chris, no need to stress over this thing...sooner or later they'll figure out that they're arguing with themselves.

I would love to have an AR 15, but the price tag on them are too rich for this old man's blood!! Instead, I have a Saiga .223 rifle that shoots either .223 or 5.56. I called the factory to see if the gun would in fact shoot the milspec ammo wiithout damaging my barrel & was told yes sir, Mr. parnell, it will shoot the 5.56 oor the .223 round! I can group 10 rounds in a 4inch pattern at 50 yards with my poor eyesight & open sights! It is a sweet shooting rifle & it only cost $250.00 instead of over a grand!!! It will do EXACTLY the same thing as an AR15 will, just don't have as large of a magazine available, the 10 round clip is it for now, I've been told! The Saiga is classified as a hunting rifle instead of assault rifle because of the sporterized stock. It is basicly the same as a AK 47, the receiver, safety lever, barrel & gas tube is the same as an AK! I am impressed with it's smooth action for a cheaper firearm! the Ar's look wicked, that's what I like about them & the balance, but the price throws it all outa balance for this poor man's wallet!

Heeler, I understand your situation 100%. I too love the way the ARs look but I had come to the conclusion that I would not ever pay that much for a gun. However, I lucked into a deal that I could not pass up. Let's just say that I purchased a new RRA AR15 for less that half of the market price. Had this not happened, I probably would have been in the market for a single shot .223. I would've been fine with that as well because I'm more the "function over form" type.

Heeler, that is indeed Benson but he's not in my "band." He was kind enough to play bass at the last THF get-together last year.

Do me a favor... if you ever meet her, don't bring it up around my wife.
