I am going to protein shortly and after looking at a hundred different feeders that's the one I have settled on. Have heard good things about them especially the feed head.

I bought from them once. After I made a purchase online they bounced me to another company's website. Imagine my surprise when the unrelated company already had my credit card info.
I called and spoke to the owners father and he said he'd have his son call me. Never heard from them.
I will not to do business with anyone that distributes my personal info so freely. Just a heads up.

Hi, I was surfing and found this site and this topic prompted me to register. I don't know anything about the credit info but I know the feeders are about as waterproof as you can get. I've filled all sorts of feeders and the absolute worst ones for protein spoiling are the ones with sheet metal screws or rivets in them. Those are just a conduit for mositure. Even a heavy dew will seep in. Some welded ones are good but you still end up with a condensation problem. None of my businees, but maybe you should call the company about the credit thing and find out for sure. Just my two-bits.

Like I said above, these are great feeders. I have both the automated ones and the protein ones. I have the 350 pound and the 1200 pound feeders. Those are for corn weights, protein will end up at 300 and 1100 pounds respectively. Even with a horizontal rain there is only a slight build up in whatever spout on the protein feeders is facing the rain, but no clogging. The corn feeders just keep on doing what they do, the timers, batteries, and solar panels are all good stuff too. But again, I've seen tons of feeders and filled all sorts and these are the absolute best I've found. You can pay a whole lot more money and not get a feeder as good as these. Without mentioning names, I would shy away from some of the less expensive feeders you find at WalMart or Academy. Best of luck with your choice.

Thanks, Deerfeeder. Didn't know you had these. Where did you buy them from and what did you have to give for them, if you don't mind me asking.

They come straight from Mr Boyer at BossBuck up in Seagoville. My brother-in-law lives in Josephine, east of Dallas and I can stay there and get the feeders on the way home and save the shipping costs. Full disclosure time. I'm a dealer for BossBuck and sell them to the hunters whose leases I manage. I sell them for the price listed on the website. I'm a dealer for these because they are the best for keeping water out. I fill some high dollar feeders for folks and the only thing that comes close to these, in my opinion, would be the Lehmann H feeders out of Corpus. Again, without mentioning names, nothing else comes close to the bossbuck feeders. I don't want my name or business associated with something that is not top notch quality.

Boss Bucks are decent feeders. They are very easily made with 6" or larger PVC though.
