what is the easiest way to dial them in. I have a range set up in my parents back yard so I have somewhere to do it myself. My biggest question is what is the easiest way to dial them in without shooting it a thousand times or is that the way to do it? This isnt my first bow but its been several years since my last one.

Shoot 3, and see where they group. Then with your dials, chase the arrow til you get them placed where you need them.

well it didn't take me 1k times but i started at 10 yards for one pin and went from there. after that it was gravy. One thing i never did until a buddy told me was fine tune the sights with the broadheads you are using, not a field tip.

I agree with Sinkey. Just chase the arrow. Since you live in Tyler, I'll tell you a secret for free indoor range time. Go to Gander Mnt on Saturday morning right when they open. Guy always lets me shoot for a hour, and never charges me. You can check your bow's speed and shoot at that horrible deer they have set up in there. Be careful though, because if you shoot through the big wholes in it, it's right level with the partical board the foam is setting on. Will bust your arrows up bad.

Well, what I mean by that, sir, is... if you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile of Adolf Hitler with a clear line of sight, sir... pack your bags, fellas, war's over. Amen.--SPR[image]

Make sure you are shooting consistant before you start moving your sights. If your arrows are going everywhere it will hard if not impossible to ever set your pins.

I havent tried as much as I probably should have yet. I am going to the range tomorrow and just go for it. Hopefully I will get a decent archery pro there that can get this dialed in then I can just practice.

It is ok to miss what you are aiming at while practicing. Practice a lot and get consistant on your point of impact. Don't worry about moving your pins yet if you are on the paper. Once your are consistantly hitting in the same place then move your pins.

well got it mostly figured out today. I originally let academy set it up, well long story short, dont let them set it up to get you started. Everything was off, and not by a little. I am getting closer to being dialed in now. It atleast consistantly hits paper now, much better than before.

We've all that heard that time after time... I wouldn't let any any one touch my bow. Especally from a store like Academy, Bass Pro, Cabellas, Gander Mt, and so on.

Good luck, sounds like you're getting a grip on things.

funny thing is bass pro set it up pretty close, didnt know what to expect but much better than academy did. I dont know enough about them yet to do it myself but I am learning as I go here. I cant say I trust any retail store for much.

and only reason I was there was getting arrows and had them check the draw length. It was 2" off what I needed and that made the biggest difference. Then the wisker biscuit was cocked sideways that I didnt realize til he had it on the stand. the peep sight wasnt tied in. once I saw that everything was not on correctly it sure made things easy to adjust and get close.

I believe I'd go inform the manager that he has a bunch of idiots working there.
