Does anyone have or used a J&L Blind. From what I understand they are insulated. I am thinking about picking one up next week but want to look elsewhere if they are not worth it. I am heading to the lease next week. I am also in the market for a 350# or 500# feeder for around $500. Any suggestions? I currently have a Lamco that is serviceable.

Not sure what you consider worth it. If you are getting a good deal, then yeah they are worth it. They are basically the same as any other fiberglass blind. If you are getting it close to your lease and do not have to drag it down there against the wind that is an advantage. We all hunt the same style Dillon, SF, J and L blinds and would not go with another. They are "insulated", basically fiberglassed foam board. A small heater in single digit temps and you are stripping down. They can also do the feeder I am sure. I would send you to my bro in law ( www.acesaneights.com ) but he is slammed right now and no way he could get you a blind or feeder in your time frame.

Thanks for the info. I can pick up a 4X6 without a tower for $900 30 miles from the lease.

Cross Plains?
I will say that last year in Ballinger at Rough Country we picked up a last minute blind for the owners son, 4x6 Dillon with a 6' tower with porch and stairs with handrail for $1200.....

Yes. 900+ tax w/o a tower. I am also looking at their 600# Big Horn feeder. Do you know if the Big Horn setup is good?

It really just depends on price. They use quality lower units on their feeders. They have some that are just a 4 leg feeder with stairs that I think are a better feeder, and probably a little cheaper. They also have some winch ups, but not sure on the price.

Look at Texas T Box blinds. THey seam to be a step up from Dillon BLinds. Sliding aluminum windows rather then flip ups. Insulated, come with a carpeted shelf, mobile home door, etc. Love them. Do a search on the internet. They are now being sold in many places. I paid $1,350 for a 4' x 6' with a 5'-0" steel stand & ladder (Not steps and landing).

I agree on the windows, only downfall on the Dillons. They make a quality stand otherwise.

You're fine, J&L doesnt sell Dillon. The ones they sell have the tracked windows.
