I got this from a buddy that likes to comp shoot.
I have not tried it yet.

This is for punching paper, not for killing.

I hope to load up some 168/gr Nosler Ballistic Tips with Varget in the next few weeks.
I'll post up if/when I get it tuned in.

LOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
WORK YOUR LOADS UP GRADUALLY!!!

************
For the .308:

175 grain Sierra Match HP (No moly), set at mag length using 44.5 grain varget.
Will yield a 1000+ accuracy; Extremely accurate at 500 yd.

In my 24" 1:12, I use Black Hills brass which is Winchester brass, with 43.5 grs. Varget, F210M with the 175 SMK, 2.810 COAL. It works well in three different rifles with 1:12 and 1:11 twists.
Start at 41 - 42 grs. and work up in 0.3 gr. increments.

Good luck.

ETA - since you just asked for a good load and not necessarily a handload, here is a four shot group of Black Hills 175 gr. Sierra Matchkings at 100 yards. It's definitely very good for ranges to 500. I do not do this kind of group too often, but this ammo has turned in this kind of result for me more than a few times. Handloads are more consistent, but the Black Hills ammo is very high quality. It's probably far more consistent than I am.

Some 1:12 barrels won't shoot the 175's as well as others they shoot very well in 1:10 though.
