What do yall know about hanging shoulder mounts out in the garage? Is it ok or not? I have several that the wife has stuck back in a back room that are never seen and i figured if it wasnt gonna ruin them then i would hang them out in the garae and complete my "man cave". what do yall think?

I'd look for a new wife!!!!!!

Ha! No...seriously that sucks to have to put your deer mounts in the garage. Talk to your taxidermist and they may know how to best protect your mounts.

bingo.. most mounts won't deal well with hot Texas summer garage heat.

Talk to your local sporting goods store and see if they will display then for you. Then everybody can see 'em.

+100, I have a friend that this happened to. They need to be in a climate controlled area, period.

sounds like it is time to convert the garage to an insulated, air conditioned man cave...

Stuff my dad said in the deer blind

"I can dive deeper and come up drier"
"did you do that?"

Yeah there ya go! Yeah start talking about how your going to have the fellas over and your plans to close up the garrage door permanently, run AC into it, stain the concrete floor, set up a nice bar for refreshments, hook up a 60"+ flat screen HDTV, bring in some new furniture so you guys can be comfortable while you watch the hunting shows and any sports ya like! You know...THE WORKS!!!!

May want to mention a nice round figure of the cost of that. See if she likes that or can she deal with hanging them in the den or somewhere else in the house. smile

Never really thought about having to hang mine anywhere else. Wifes rule is nothing in the kitchen, anywhere else is ok, but to answer your question garage is bad idea Ive seen them fall apart quick.
