Cheaper Than Dirt is opening a store in McKinney- they have a sign up on the west side of central at 380 (near Target) and are accepting applications. Set to open in July... Just reposting the one from general hunting so that everyone can see it. I think a G2G at Twin Peaks is in order on opening day...

It's over by the KFC across 380 from Best Buy. I think it's by the road that cuts back to Target and where Circuit City used to be. I can't wait til they open, they've got some good 7.62x39 deals going...

What are the deals? Last I checked they had the highest prices around.

I thought that about a year ago there a bunch of people on here blasting Cheaper Than Dirt, talking about boycotting the place, etc. The thread was something about gouging high prices during the ammo shortage.

AND they would not honor their posted prices. I was one of MANY that was charged on their CC for the posted price, then they contacted me after they did to authorize more money for their updated price that they changed to AFTER the original order was made. It took almost two months to get the whole mess straightened out and get the money back. Like I said, I am one of many others that this happened to during that time. Try here..

Got an email from them that they will be doing a "soft opening" in mid July with the grand opening to follow later. Drove by today and they already have the sign up on the building. It's in the same complex as Target, Spring Creek, where Circuit City used to be, right across from Best Buy and Hooters...

I drove by this the other day and was very confused. This explains it, haha. I personally have had nothing but good experiences with them so I'll be up there the day it opens for sure. smile

Anybody can price gouge but most people only get burned once. Then like this guy posted it was also the old bait and switch. offer one deal and switch for a higher price. The good deals they offer on line are good for them because they sucker people in with good prices and refuse the sale, offer a higher price, and still get all your info...When companies do that it says a lot. I'll give my money else where.

Use to buy from them when no one knew who the heck they were. They use to have a small little store front at teh end of the building they are in now. I would always get stuff they didnt advertise or have in their show room. When they started jacking up their prices and everyone talked about boycotting them, I did and havent spent a dime with them since. most of the guys that work there are your typical, "I work at a gun store and think Im an ba operator and know everything" attitude. I cant tell you how many times Ive seen and LEO or guy that just knew his stuff, give the big tall fat guy a lesson in firarms... roflmao

I took a handgun defense class from them last year and it was run by the owner and a couple of the guys from the shop. It was fun and I learned a lot. Seemed like good guys and I would like to take another class from them but now it seems all they are doing is the Clint Smith classes when he comes to town once a year or so.

They were supposed to open Mid august. If they don't hurry up and get that store open, I won't have any play money left!

Yeah, I know!! I had a hunsky earmarked to buy some soft point 7.62x39 for hog eradication purposes, and I really need an AK mag pouch...

But not anymore- inspection, survey, deposit to get the water and power turned on for one day, termite inspection, case of beer for another guy to come look it over (he ain't leavin with all of that case though!)
