When I am out at LBJ this season I will let you know if it is true. I would not want any of you to waist the time or fuel to drive up there and no deer be there. I will be glad to keep you all informed when I get back. Oh if you see a couple guys in a Big Dodge Ram with an 8 point laying in the bed you will know it was true.

Does can only be taken on a 4 day hunt over Thanksgiving, well at least that is what they did last year.

no, no permit besides your hunting license..Shotgun, bow, muzzleloader only. There are tons of doe out there, but the bucks are few and far between. They are there, but you dont see them very often. Prepare to spend lots of time hunting without success. Thats the nature of public hunting....But its all about being out there. Better than sitting home.

If you want a good buck you need to walk way back in there. And when you find a spot that looks good because you are just plan wore out, walk another 100'. Lol there are some very good bucks around there but you have to walk farther than the other guys. Have seen several 8's and 10's out there.
