I'm 6'1" 220lbs and I can pull back 70lbs with no problem. I know Uncle Ted pulls 50lbs. I think the hipe is that you need to pull back as much as possible to where your hemroids burst.

What are you pulling?

#65 for 3 years I shot a Hoyt Rambo at #85 now I pay the price #50 will easily kill any deer I believe it's a macho thing.

at 14, 5'6" and was shooting 70# on a Martin Jag..tourney bow was set @ 60# b/c it had to be

now at 26, 5'8 (didn't grow a whole heck of a lot)..... 62lbs

Was shooting 70# but alas the years and injuries have caught up with me. After shoulder surgery I swapped for 50-60 limbs. Started at the botton and worked my way back up to 60. Never had any pass through problems at 50 though; just didn't like the trajectory and time of flight.

I don't have the macho issue but since I pull that weight no problem I might as well shoot it, since my bow will go that high.

I have a buddy who shoots 60# and he kills deer no problem.
