Sounds like a lot of fun. How many prairie dogs would we expect to see in a day? Might be a fun hunt for my son and I if he can find time in his schedule.

I do not know how many you will see, but you will get at least 225 plus shots each. If it turns off cloudy and rainy-that hurts the numbers. It is great fun. Let me know if you would like to come and we can set something up. Thanks for the interest. Gary

Hey Rick T. You could hunt coyotes at night after the P.D. hunt if you like-They are killing my Pheasants.

It sounds like a real good time. My son has a 17hmr. do you think it would have the range needed for prairie dogs.

Hello Rick, I think he would be ok for a while with 17 but they move out and he will need more distance. We have shot them with 22's but a larger caliber would be better.

Wow, this hunt sure sounds great but I don't think we are equiped right for prairie dogs right now. Jeez, might have to talk the war dept. into letting us buy a couple more rifles. I do hope to hunt with you sometime soon though. Thanks for the honest response about the 17.
