Last Monday went over and put up a feeder and filled it with 6 bags of corn. Put up some pig panels around the feeder. Put up a T-Box blind. Took the wife and a couple'a chairs we bought at Office Depot on sale with us to put in the blind yesterday. It was my wifes first trip to the lease and she was pumped. Saw signs of pigs on the outside of the feeder and signs of deer on the inside. I think my buddy and I found a very good place. I need to take my wifes new rifle and zero it on Wednesday. We are leaving for OH Ivey thursday afternoon for the weekend and I know as soon as we get back she will be planning on heading to the lease to shoot her a pig.

This place we found was only hunted by the owners son and hasn't been hunted in several years. Its a year round lease and the rancher wants pigs shot. My wife wants to shoot some pigs and my buddy's wife loves to shoot pigs.

ahead of me as well. I've walked out our new place and saw that we already have summer plots in, but no stands, feeders or cameras out yet.

My wife is ready to hunt. She is very much into fishing and hunting with me. Sure makes life easier. Gary the lease is east of Kosse. I was raised in Mexia. Or you from Kosse?

Tex, it does take alittle work, just plan ahead and don't let the heat get to you while your doing it. Do it in stages if you have to.

I am a HS teacher off for the summer so we have some time. Its not in too bad of shape. There are a couple of blinds in place I am trying to buy from the previous leasee. Want to find a way to put some water out for the animals (Have to lug it in) but was thinking of using a heavy washtub type container or maybe bury a cut off 55 gallon drum. Other than that get one feeder going, cut some brush, put a game cam out, etc. etc. Thanks for the encoragement. I picked this up because my 73 year old step dad doesn't like the pressure of the day hunting places to shoot whatever walks out. He would rather enjoy his time outdoors and be more picky about his shooting. Sounds good to me.

It is very nice of you to look after your Step Dad that way. I guessing your a good man. Good luck on your lease and don't pay to much for those blinds. You will be doing the other guy a favor buying them so he want have to move them.
