Watching this hog special on discovery channel. Learning a few things I didnt know that I thought I did. try to watch it if you missed it.

Caught the last 30 minutes or so of it, its some crazy stuff...they kinda take it to far at the end saying that there could be a super hog thats 1500 lbs and can run 70 mph though

That would make from some interresting hunting. I think I would need to up a caliber for that.

Is this the one called Pig Bomb? If so, there was about 15 mins worthwhile, the rest was all hype.

Its a one time show. They air it every so often. Seems to me it was first aired about 2 years ago. I think they overplayed the Superhog idea, but they are spreading and when they get loose they can establish a decent population quick if no predators.

I watched the one called "The Pig Bomb" a few months ago. It was interesting, but honestly I think you will find better info on this forum for hunting and trapping them. Current experience from people that live here and deal with them is a much more dependable source. It was a cool show, though.

I have seen the one called PIgbomb. I am currently on business in Monterrey Mexico and on the NatGeo channel down here they have another Hog Special that is different but it has great video footage of chase,hunt and capture-even chasing them on airboats out in some swampy type land, but I could not decipher the name as I am not so good at Espanol. The capture-they placed a tracking collar on a good sized sow and then tracked her back to the "herd" so they could "put the hurt on the herd". Very interesting.
