What all involves the use of those? Ive seen a lot of nice deer in and around that area as well as the park.

I have a lake house at Possum Kingdom, I hunt pigs and ducks by the dam south of 16. I've seen a lot of deer tracks but never seen a deer. There is lots of pigs there and not afraid of people either. Probably due to so many people being there fishing or rafting the river. I only bow hunt, a gun might be a problem there because of all the human traffic.
I did call the B.R.A. and they didn't have a problem with me bow hunting.

yes the corp land around lake whitney. you can register to hunt at the corp office behind the damn or at the corp web site for lake whitney its free. bow hunt only for deer. the sections that can be reached by boat only are the best not much traffic. the section we hunted last year we only seen two other hunters and that was twice and the same people.

You can always try Caddo or head down east to Sam Houston or Angelina forest areas. Drive is a little longer. Other public areas listed in the Public hunting Guide each has a map of the area and what you can hunt and when

Twin Buttes res. San Angelo, has some exeptional deer. Shotgun only. During the week is the best time to go.
