In the stand by myself... Yes, but usually there is someone either in another stand or will be at the spot later in the day.

All the time. Especially on week days when I need to be out of the duck woods by 8:00 or 8:30 and on the streets making calls. I grew up hunting all manner of game and fishing small rivers in Jon boats with small hp motors by myself. I always let someone know where I am. I like hunting in groups but when I need to think, being in the woods with just me and the lab if often just what I need to think through a situation. It clears the mind walking through flooded woods before daylight and then watching the sun rise with just you and the dog.
You make your own luck.

I tend to hunt in the stand by myself, but we never go to the lease alone to hunt, I think we have a rule about that on our place.

98% of the time. And probably for %80 of that, I'm the only one on the lease. Gets a little freaky some times at night. I only have a 4 to 5 hundred yard hike into my blind from where I park, but it couldn't go by quick enough this last Tuesday evening. Every hair on my neck was up on the hike back out and I was getting a little jumpy. Imagine that. A grown 40 something year old wanting to look over his shoulder. While carrying a loaded AR10 with a night vision scope and wearing a head lamp. I still feel like something was watching me and I've learned to trust my insticts. But it doesn't stop me. Going again tonight... I always make sure my cell phone is charged and that I've got plenty of water. The wife knows when to expect me, and if I'm going to be late, I check in with her. But our lease is pretty primitive. Cinder block camp house with no electricty or water out there. Life is too short to try and plan my hunts around other people's schedule. Oh yeah, one more important fact is that it's only 25 minutes away.

I have to hunt by myself more than I like due to work schedule. Its not very fun, but try to make the most of it. I really like the family and friends for company on hunts.

Any chance I get. I live it when no one is out there.

Hunt by myself all the time. Sometimes a week or more at a time.
Its boring at first, but you find things to do to kill time. Just have to pay extra attention to what you do and dont do to keep from geting hurt. Snake bites are my biggest concern when hunting alone.

I'm at the lease alone fairly often. Especially last year when I didn't have Friday classes and would be at the lease thursday nite and all Friday before someone would get there

Lots of times. I prefer to have someone else on the property for safety reasons, and also at night. The peace and serenity of being alone is one thing..and sometimes that's a good thing, but I like to have someone there to talk to.

Any chance I get. I live it when no one is out there. I use to be that way. Its nice to have the place to yourself. I did some quality hunting then and probaly had my best success. Now I rather have the company and enjoy actually seeing the younger ones making the harvest. Funny thing is I still seem to have to do all the gutting and quartering

There are always at least a couple of us when I hunt. We might split up between blinds. No cell phone service where I hunt. I don't think I would want to be out there by myself.

I hunt by myself pretty often. The lease is only a few miles from home though, and my Dad and my best friend have both hunted there for years and are familiar with the property and both live really close. I just let somebody know what stand or area I am hunting, when I will be back, and take my cell phone. I don't worry about it too much.

Unfortunately in the past most of the time, hope this year will be different. Specially during bow season, you never know what you walk upon.
