The only thing I have heard negative about them is the trigger. I have heard it is a good shooter like most the savages are but that the trigger is around 6-7 lbs but can be worked on and brought down to 3 or 4 lbs.

My brother just bought one in a 223.
He says it shoots pretty well at 100 yards, around that 2-3" grouping. I want to add he is relatively new to rifle shooting so not the best at it.
My thoughts on it just looking at it and not shooting it... The stock is cheap and crappy, much like alot of lower end savages. Same nice barrel construction. Both bolt and action are not as nice as model 10 Savages, which are not all that great to begin with. Trigger comes from factory set very high. Not sure if it can be adjusted or not, but I really hope so. Other than the hard pull, the break over is fairly clean. If the trigger is adjustable down to about 3-4lbs, I would say this is a fantastic deal. As it stands now, it's a pretty good deal for a rifle in this price range.
