Put cattle panels and t-posts around, same way you would make a pen to keep pigs out. Then, cut out the lower 2 or 3 sections of the panels, or you could just use shorter hog panels and raise them up 2 feet.
You could also string a 3 or 4 tight strands of barbed wire.

Find a big hay bale ring and put the feeder inside of it the holes are big enough for pigs and calves but not mature cows.

If they want in, they will get in, barbed wire's your best bet.

Barbed wire is what I did also with T-posts. Put 4x4s on the corners. The pigs and deer can get in but cows can not

I had the same problem before. the only resulution is four strips of barb wire. Choose your shooting position acording to that. It's cheap, efective, easy to move. Hogs pass under, deer over, cows don't. Put youself in a position that cant't shoot the wire. Usually, bigger fenced areas better shooting position. ok?

You need to fence your pens and place additional feed or costal hay away from your pens to allow them to eat. A 350 to 400 pounder will flat jump a 48 inch fence if he is hungry enough.

Its kind of ironic that someone is wanting pigs IN and its the cows that are causing the problem. To me theres something kinda humorous about that. I guess there's ALWAYS going to be something trying to get after a feeder that's not supposed to.
I gotta go with fencing it off though. Nothing keeps cows out like 4 strands of tightly strung barbed wire.

I only use three strands and it keeps them out. Then again the land owner doesn't over graze his land and the cows aren't that aggressive.

Your rancher must be starving those cows.
I've hunted for years on different ranches and never had trouble with cows.
We put up the feeders on eight foot pipe and buried them a foot or so in the ground and like I said the cows never were enough of a problem to ever think of putting up a fence.
Now hogs are a different story as they dig a hole under the feeder and root around so they are more of the problem than cattle ever were.

Really i dont think they belong to him cause i don't see anywhere where he feeds them and the cows act like they don't belong there.....
our feeders are 14ft. tall and the cows dont bother the feeders as far as tearing them down but they try to eat the corn on the ground ant the latest pics show them bedding up under the feeders were the sand is cooler i thinking....
barbwire and t post is the ticket i guess but we hunt from pop up blinds for hogs

you can get away with 3 wire, but if you can run 5 do it! it would be worth it.

or you can do feeders like we do here: digg little holes and put the corn under flat heavy stones. Hogs can remove it, cattle can't (nor even goats can). The problem is that you need to replace food everyday...it's a good solution only if you have the time to do that. otherwise...barbwire and sharpshooting trought

Maybe I am lucky but my cows have never touched my 8 feeders. They might stop and lick the ground a few times but that is all. I put T-posts on the legs to make sure they don't knock the feeders over when walking around. Sounds like your landowner needs to feed his cows.

Barbwire fence. If you like hogs in there to hunt then leave the bottom couple of strands off. Make the area large enough in diameter so that when deer jump the fence into the feeder area their faced isn't pressed up against the feeder. If it's too crowded in the area it'll keep deer from wanting to jumb in.

How tall would anyone suggest for a bard wire fence? I have a bunch of 4 foot T-Posts I was going to use with hog panel for keeping pigs out of at the lease I was on. There were no cows in the hunting area on that lease so height was not a concern. I am moving to a new lease that has no hogs, yet.... But I am going to have to do something about the cows at the new lease but I was sure if 3 foot would be tall enough with barb wire.
