They are decent rifles for the money. Supposedly the actions are made by Howa and use weatherby made barrels. Heard good and bad about them as you do with everything else out on the market.
Glock perfection. The very best and only handgun I will ever have. Nothing comes close!

I looked at them but didn't like the stock. I went with the Howa and the Hogue over-molded stock and am very happy with it. Of course, I haven't shot my new Tikka yet.

I have a Thompson Center Venture I bought new for less than $500, that I like alot. The only difference between it and the Icon is the receiver and bolt.

What other great rifles are there around the 400-500 price range? Weatherby Vanguard is a good solid rifle, accurate from what I've seen.. though the stock isn't the most comfy or attractive. There are also Remington 700's in various flavors, Savage, Marlin...etc. etc.

euless guns and ammo has the vanguard sub moa in a 270 for 699. crazy cheap. super nice. but i dont want a 270. that is only caliber they have it. also dont really like the tan color but that is easy to paint black. has webbing paint that is nice.
vanguard sporter has wood stock that feels like a million bucks for around 600 new.
i like the tikka t3 action. it is the easiest, smoothest, and fastest i have seen yet. very nice. just dont like stock very much.
