Just got on a lease in ranger. wonder where are the hot spots for food are. I have already tryed the smoke stack in thurber, and also shooters in ranger.

Mary`s in strawn is only a short drive from ranger.

Planned on trying the hill on the next trip to the lease. I was not to impressed with the smoke stack. But the french fries are damn good.

Mary`s in strawn is only a short drive from ranger. x2 I have been at my lease for 5 years now in Thurber and I drive right past the Smokestack and New York Hill to go to Mary's in Strawn!!!

Mary's has been on all sorts of TV shows and I believe may have been voted for either the biggest or best chicken friend steak in tx/us.

Over in Eastland, the gas station on the north feeder road next to the mirrored building, is some pretty darn good BBQ. It's run by the folks that used to own the Rafter H there in town.
I also love to go to the New York Hill and Mary's.
Maybe we can get dredd to cough up the location of the super secret pizza place there near Thurber.

It is the first building you come to on the left hand
side of the road going north off of I 20 on 108 North at the Thurber Exit.

Cafe Rico in Eastland is pretty durn good. Get the adabada and egg chimichanga, with the red sauce.

I don't know if they still do it or not, but they used to have an all you can eat chicken fry night, and an all you can eat sirloin night.
and it is ALL good.

New York on the Hill and Mary's Can't go wrong with these two. I always stop at the Smokestack for breakfast on my way to Lubbock.

Pizza Heaven in Cisco is worth an honorable mention. Chicken Fry at Marys is good... but not as good as my wife's chicken fried venison fried in bacon grease, so I am biased.

That Shell station at Hwy 6 and IH20 is always pretty crowded. I had a pretty good breakfast there once.

how do I get there I will have to stop by there this weekend. Strawn exit (361 I think) N towards Strawn can't miss it.
