I have heard several reports that the Turkeys have been behind schedule this year as far as really breaking up from their groups and responding to calls.
I know several years ago it was like pulling teeth to even get one gobbler to come to me. Then a few weeks later I called in 7 in one day.
So, what are your thoughts/experiences/reports this season so far?

I agree they are behind. Right now would be good an I don't have any hunts lined up. Could be the rain and cold but seems to me they strut best when the bluebonnets bloom.

Way behind! By this time last year we had 9 dead and a few hunter's had missed! This year we have had one only one shot fired and it was a miss at 8 yard's!

I called in 2 decent gobblers weekend before last. (9-11th) I only hunted until about 10:00 AM both days.
Saturday, I called one in and he had places to be, he just gave me a glance, and kept on his merry way. No shot.
Sunday, I worked them hard and got at my spot before sunup.
I sat down and started calling, got 3 responses. One came in about an hour later with 3 girls, and was putting on quite a show, but I couldn't get him to step from out behind the oak tree he was behind so I could get a good shot at him. He was about 25 yards out or so. I'm headed back on Mothers Day weekend to bring him home.
