I would say 75 to 200 plus yards. You can back up if that is not far enough. Also bepends on how spooky they are. The country is rolling grassland and you can see aa long ways.

I have never counted. It would depend on your patience-waiting for them to come back out of the hole. I have at least three spots to hunt-should be plenty of shooting.My grandson can go through 1,000 22 rounds in a couple of days. When you shoot a larger caliber gun thats kills for sure that would take a big bank roll. Not trying to dodge your question, i am just not sure.
