Just wondering where you guys are getting live crawfish, and how much they're running this year?

Don't know how much they are, but I saw a sign at the HEB yesterday that they are getting them in.

My local store has them, large, at 2.99 right now. I figured I could get them cheaper at a larger store. I travel all over the state so location isn't an issue.

That is a rip off. We are getting selects for under $2/lb purged. Of course I am down on the coast.

not sure where you're located but Kroger in the DFW area has them for around $2.99/lb. If you buy a sack (35-40lbs) or more, then they are 2.00/lb. ones we cooked weren't all that big but they were very full and shells were nice and soft. very good.

That's a pretty good price break First_Chance. We're gonna buy about 200 lbs, so that would make a huge difference.

Well, I just ordered them from my local store today, at 2.59 a lb. Thanks for all the suggestions. I figured it was worth it to stay local, I don't know. Plus, they're throwing in the seasoning and the corn and taters. Hope to have some pics up next week.

Out here in Mt. Pleasant I can get them for about 2.00 a pound at a little place called Mardi Gras Seafood Resturant. They bring them in live about every other day.
Grab ahold of something, bite your lip, and GIVE IT HELL!!!!!
