Now I'am ready to start hunting some hogs, I have my feeder about 30 yds. from a well used deer trail that we killed three nice deer from. Do you think I need to move my feeder to a different part of the lease to hunt hogs so I don't put too much pressure on the deer and they stop using the trail? The lease is 195 acres. Thanks oktx. p.s. we used a pop-up blind at this location so it will be easy to move.

I would leave it alone and set up a totally different stand and feeder to hunt hogs out of.

This is Crazyhorse, and even though hogs have the ability to be anywhere at any time, it is like what Ted was getting at, from our experience over the past 12 years, if the hogs get to coming it to 1 feeder, they have stayed to that one feeder. We do see sign of a single hog coming in to some of our other feeders, but the groups seem to get hung up on one location. We have 180 acres that we are hunting, and one thing we have noticed, and maybe Ted or some of the other folks have different experiences with it, but if we plow into a group of pigs and take one or two out with guns, they don't come back. I took one that dressed out at about 60 pounds last year, and we never saw them again.

Yes do not put it where you hunt your deer if you have ALOT of hogs. The will over run that feeder and the deer will avoid that place. MY .02

I AGREE! My bowstand has only a couple of deer coming to it, it is all hogs all the time...morning noon and night....but I am going to start hammering them.
Killed 4 boars out of the same stand last week, two on Mon evening and two on Tuesday evening...saw two bucks and that was it.

I might just keep that deer stand/feeder where it is...and then sour up some corn/milo and drop it somewhere else. Is there evidence of "rooting" up around the deer feeder, or anywhere else on the place?

We kill alot of porkers off our place and like everyone else is saying we try to hunt our pigs away from our deer stands. You cant keep them from comming into your deer feeders but when we get serious about killing them we sour some corn and use pop-up blinds and put them on pig trails.
