Those are some good sized hogs. I think you're getting more than your share though.
Is that "destroyer" as good a light as you thought it would be? Is the distance you can see with it pretty good? I've been considering one of those myself.

I looked, bought, used, played with, and tweekedevery red light on the market for over 3 years, including making my own. Trust me, the Destroyer is abslutely THE best led true red frequency red hog hunting light on the market. I can see out to 200+ yards on a dark night with my scope. I don't ever shoot that far, but you can still pic up an animals eye reflection at that distance. It's awesome!

how long can you leave on the light? i had a primos 350 yard light that you could see plain as day with but you couldnt leave it on very long as it would overheat. it also killed the battery quick.

Can a hog see red or green? Some have said that hogs cannot see red at all and do not see green very well. What are your thoughts, best red or green for hunting hogs? Have you tried the green laser light? If so, what was your experience with it?

You can leave the Destroyer on for a full 1 1/2 hrs. with no over-heating issue whatsoever. The only thing to watch out for is to not drain the battery 100%. If that happens, then the battery has a hard time recharging in the future.

I use to use the Primos 350 yd. light, and you are right with the over heating issues. I even went as far as to change out the 6 watt bulb for a 12 watt. Then I ran a small 12 volt battery to it. Same issues as before, only it fried MUCH quicker! Lesson learned.

Hogs can see any color light to certain degrees. The structure of their eyes makes red the color they have the hardest time seeing. No matter what color you use though, they are always able to see the light source. So while they may have a hard time seeing the color of your light on the gorund, brush, etc, when they look at you, they see the light reflector very easily. Also, no matter what color your light, the source will appear white to them. To get around this, it helps to have as small of a 'footprint' on your light as possible. The bigger the light face, the whiter it will appear to the pigs, and the greater the chance of spooking them. Others have had great luck with blue, green, and even white, but I'm a firm believer in red.

I have not personally tried out BSA's (a subsidiary of Gamo), green laser light. Although, I have heard concerns from those who have used it. Things like it has a REAL hard time operating in temperatures below 40 F. and above 100 F. Also, last I heard even if you ordered one, they are having manufacturing issues and immidiately put you on a waiting list because they are waiting on parts, or having production issues, etc.

I don't personally know if any of this is true, only that this is what others have told me....
