I've hunted deer and turkeys 10 miles from Brady for the last 7yrs and the turkey population has steadily declined each year. I hunt a large ranch that has minimal hunting pressure and assume that the drought conditions have really hurt the turkeys. I havent scouted this spring, but we saw very few turkeys during deer season relative to years past. Dont get me wrong, there are still decent numbers of turkeys, but probably 1/5 as many as there were several years ago.
