Does anyone look for hog hunts on craigslist??? If you do are they sucessful? I'm planning on returning to the great state of Texas in July and I was looking for someplace to hunt there.

i have gone to a couple of places off craigs list with 0 luck. one was in east texas near henderson. lady is great. land is great but just not enough hogs to justify paying. i have been there twice. other place was in near corsicana. went there twice. nothing. seems to me you get what you pay for. they are not trying to make a living off of it. just a little extra cash because they heard people pay to shoot hogs. so they go out to their land and see some damage and think i could make an extra buck. problem is you never know how many people have been there before you, dont know if they keep feeders going. both of these places are really not set up if you do get something. like running water, cleaning station, elec...etc...seems to me that just because you have a stand and a feeder and see some hog damage that does not mean you can justify charging people to hunt. i am having a really hard time justifying paying anymore when i am still empty handed. better to stick with guys on here that have places. i think chances are better at seeing something. only problem is there are not enough openings.

I have a place that I am going tonight that has a lot of hogs. He has 5 1/2 miles or river front, feeders, and stands. I am wanting to say he told me he charges 200 for the weekend to go shoot. I am just going for predators tonight, and am not allowed to shoot hogs tonight cause there are some other guys out there paying to shoot hogs, but I know he has a lot out there.

can you shed a little more light on this place? still looking for hogs.

I have a friend in Doss Texas which is in Gellespi County. He has a good set up and is fairly new. He mentions having a lot of hogs. Also many turkey. Good prices too.

Prime Turkey Hunting in Gellespi County Texas. We have the Threadgill Creek running through the place and it has plenty of water in it, and of course that is where the birds all go to stock up on sand and gravel for their gizzards. There is 145+/- acres, and there are plenty of birds to take. These are NOT stocked birds. These are wild, Rio Grande turkeys. You are allowed 4 turkeys, no more than one being an eastern Turkey. These birds have not been called or shot into in years. If a hunter wants to try turkey hunting for the first time, this is the place to go. The turkey hunt price is $150.00 per day, with no kill fees; I can call the birds up for you for no extra fee. Cash or money orders only, and payment is to be made before hunt. We also have 2 RV sites with full hookups, one 30 amp and one 50 amp service. Or you can pitch a tent. I also have cleaning facilities. The season runs from March 20, 2010 to May 2, 2010.

My uncle in Post TX sells them for pretty cheap not for sure how much but it's not bad. he will let you shoot all the varmints and hogs you want. The last guy that went down ther shot 6 pigs and a bobcat in 2 days. PM me and let me know if you want his number.

We have 2 places, one for up to 6 hunters and one for 2 hunters. $75 for the entire weekend and all you can shoot. But you need to hurry, we're fillin up fast again!!

Just got back from my hunt, and it was pretty bad, did not see any yotes, but we sure heard a ton of the. The winds were blowing pretty bad, and it was a full moon. Great place to hunt them though. I feel if it were a new noon, and still night, we would have cleaned up real nice. The hog hunters that were paying to be there were from Oregon, and they said they saw about 60 - 80 hogs that day, and they only shot 5. They were bow hunting. Hopefully next time there will not be hunters that are paying to hunt there, and I can go pick a couple off. We hunted just the south side of the land and we had 4000 acres to hunt on. North side is just as big. 5 1/2 miles of river front running through the middle of the land. Oh and I got my truck stuck once in the deep river sand.

we may have to take you with us coonsaw. they just planted corn. we're gonna flush them out of the woods sunday with dogs and pop them in the fields!

ok so i lost my only place to hog hunt. one of the other guys that hunts the place drove straight thru all the corn. darn near $10,000 in damages, mabe more. anyone that could hook me up? i live in belton

I hunt mainly in the west Texas area but its worth the drive.

And exactly why so many farmers that have hog problems will refuse to let anyone on their land to get rid of them for that reason or several others.

I hunt in cheapside texas, just south of gonzales. I would be willing to take someone along.
