I am looking at a gun my uncle wants to sell. He bought it from a guy that needed quick money that worked for him. It is a remington cdl 700 7mm-08 with the lighter wood and black forearm. It also has a fluted blue barrel. This gun still has the tags on it. The scope is a weaver classic extreme 2.5x10x50 with 30mm tube. He wants what he gave the guy, $1100 for it. Tell me what you think.

It's not a smoking deal but better than if you were to piece it together yourself. The rifle is in the 750 range and the scope is around 550. I'm not a fan of weaver but that's just me, I know tons of people that love them.

thats not to bad for either side, but if it were my uncle I would offer 1000 and then buy a 30 pack and share it with him...

1,000 would be a little more fair IMO.

Well I had already offered him 1000 and he said that he has 1100 in it and only wants his money back.

Well I have been wanting a 7mm-08. We shall see what happens this weekend. I just can't find a 7mm-08 at any shops, they are already sold!

tell him to kiss your butt and go spend the 1000 on what you want.. you can get a good set up for that price or cheaper...

I kind of tend to agree. While that is a good set up and a decent price you could do better. Get a savage for one thing.

So true so true! I already have a savage and love it. I have looked at a kimber that someone offered to me on here but I know that the 700 is a great gun and this one still has the tags on it. For this set up being the gun is around $780 and the scope at the lowest is around $550, we are already above the $1100 mark. For this set up it is not a bad price. All I will have to do is do the trigger and float it.

Well I ended up buying it from him. What really made the deal is that I got five boxes of federal fusion 140 grain for $20 a box. Admin please remove.
