Are they looking for hens or is it too early/late?
Thanks!

Strutting and gobblin in Kinney Co... Weather was bad last weekend (super windy) so I put off my first attempt to bag one till this coming weekend.
(and now I am a tracker instead of just a bird dog)

I was coyote hunting in Grayson County on Sunday in the snow and 30mph wind. Came across 5-6 turkeys roosted a tree in the middle of the day. I gobbled at them with my foxpro and they gobbled on top of me every time I hit the call. Pretty neat to see, especially in those conditions.

Dont know about gobbling, but saw a group of about 15 hens walking across a wheat field today with one long beard following not far behind. He wasn't strutting though. Was in Southern Jones Co.

I had a tom strutting this morning in Schleicher County. We were having a cup on the smoking porch and saw several birds by the trough. I hit the box call a couple times and he puffed right up. He wasn't gobbling though.
