Who has one? What night sights do you have, and do they get blackend out from powder coming out the ports?

If I may...
compensated models are for competitive use only as far as a lot of people are concerned, myself included.

Reason:

Excessive muzzle flash going straight up, killing your vision for low light use, i.e., when statistically, most defense situations occur. And since you mentioned night sights, I am going to assume that's your intended use.

Secondly, they are a LOT louder, I mean a LOT louder

Both of those things make them bad for defensive use.

Add in the fact that if you had to fire the gun with retention, i.e., close to your body, the gases go straight up into your face.. not good

Now, in daylight competition using hearing and eye protection, they are great for keeping the muzzle from rising and staying on target.

I know you didn't ask, and you may already be aware of all of this..

BIL, That unfortunately is a by-product of the ported barrel.

I don't think there is a good answer for this problem.

Clean ur gun! It take about 100 rounds through my 23C before my front sight becomes a problem. My personal opinion is that night sights are a waste of money on a CCW. If you have to shoot somebody and they are far enough away that you are needing ur sights you are going to have major questions to answer from law enforcement.

I would hate to get in trouble by the police, they are always trying to hold me down.

Unless it is closer than arms length, I always use my sights.

If it's 2 feet away from my muzzle, I'm using my sights.

sights are there for a reason, use them.

you could try putting a little wax or oil on the front sight if the carbon is getting baked on. i dont thing the comped pistol will work well with night sights though.

if you still want a "solution" for that problem, you could always use a red dot in the rear dovetail like a fastfire or something and possible try a low flash cartridge like TAP
