It's a toss up between the "all you can eat special" at Golden Corral or this one little cantina northwest of Mission, Tx.

I read somewhere that crowell texas is the hog capital of texas but i don't remember the source I hope that's right. If all goes well, I'll be hunting up there this next year on a lease and I love to hunt those little guys. I've never hunted in that area and have no idea how the deer, coyotes and hogs are up that way.

look at a lake map of Sam Rayburn and then follow the rivers that feed into it....and the Neches running closeby (and I guess the Sabine isn't that far away either). You will find one heck of a hog population along any one of them.

My First Guess would be Washington DC... As for Crowell Texas, they like to claim they are the wild hog capitol of Texas, but that is just Chamber of commerce speak..As Ray Sasser would say.. Crowell Texas Website

That map is not to accurate in my opinion I agree, far from accurate. The sad thing....its probably only out-dated by a couple years

Hill county east of Hillsboro,in the Milford, and Italy area. There sure seems to be a lot around there. I also went hunting in Cottle county and there was a bunch up there.

i think you can pretty much go anywhere in the state, and find some hogs. i think that every lease i have been on there has been hogs, and the numbers continue to grow. there is nothing that can be done about it, they breed like rats! i too have heard that florida is worse off than we are.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. Thomas Jefferson

I've never hunted in that area and have no idea how the deer, coyotes and hogs are up that way. I hunt at a place a few miles south of Crowell and it is loaded with hogs, they are of good size as well. I killed a 250lbs sow there last year. The deer population is pretty good, there are alot of does and the bucks we do see are big. It also has a bunch of turkeys. I really enjoy hunting that area.
