It was unreal. Had the Buffalo filet topped with a cold water lobster tail...it was the best steak I have ever eaten. Medium rare and cooked to melt in my mouth perfection.

The steakhouse is associated with the famous Y.O. Ranch in the Texas hill country. The wife and I also had pheasant ravioli for an appetizer- dayum!!! The gouda mac and cheese was off the charts too.

The menu features all sorts of wild game including quail, and elk. It's white table cloth but you can wear jeans and feel comfortable- it feels and looks like a ranch house. Take your lady there and tell them I sent ya or you heard about it on the show and you'll get 15% off your bill.

They also have a special home brew- it's a dark beer kinda stout like a Guiness but not quite as heavy. Take the wife or GF- and try that Buffalo filet - it was freakin amazin. Coulda cut it with a butter knife! http://www.yoranchsteakhouse.com/

I am proud as heck to have them on board. It's a one of a kind place.

I don't mind leaving Wise Co, just not going to Dallas if I can possibly avoid it. Long, long ago in a faraway land, I was a door to door salesman in Oak Cliff. Soured me on that whole area.

What are the prices like in this place?

It's expensive, but not like Nick and Sam's expensive. Entrees ranging from $21.50 to $45.00, here is the link to the menu http://www.yoranchsteakhouse.com/dinner_menu.html, getting hungry thinking about that Buffalo filet! Gonna try the elk chops next time. You get 15% off your bill too!

I worked in the West End area of Dallas for 5 years and I would rather be gut shot than go to downtown Dallas again.
